Tasks
  • Conducting research of current state of the art Hybrid Grippers
  • Evaluating various possible engineering solutions
  • Designing an innovative next generation of hybrid grippers, which involves combining multiple grippers into a single end effector tool
  • Thoroughly evaluating the proposed design
  • Building a functional prototype
  • Performing extensive testing to ensure reliability and efficiency
Must have skills
  • Mechanical Engineering, Cybernetics, Mechatronics, Robotics and related studies from second semester onwards
  • Hands-on experience with CAD 
  • Experience controlling actuators and sensors with a microcontroller or other embedded system of your choice
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Very good communication skills in German or English (optimally in both)
Nice to have skills
  • Hands-on experience with SolidWorks
  • Experience with CAM 
  • Experience working with robots and robotic sensors: e.g. force-torque sensors
